End-of-Life Planning
and Final Expense Insurance
You are protecting your assets when you make the decision to
pre-arrange and pre-fund your funeral expenses before the need arises.
Final Expense insurance can help you offset those costs.
End-of-Life planning involves preparing for those immediate expense
needs that are inevitable as a part of yours or your loved ones
funeral. Having an irrevocable plan in place that is assigned for those
end-of-life needs and expenses can save your assets from being spent
unnecessarily because you were not prepared. Your family will receive a
greater benefit and will be spared from having to make hard financial
decisions at a very emotional time.
Did you know?
- It could take as long as 30-90 days (has taken as long as
up to 6 months) before your family receives the claim money
- A certified death certificate is needed to trigger a death
claim (which can take weeks or even months)
- Most funeral homes at the time of death whether it's a
cremation or funeral service will need to be paid beforehand (usually
3-4 days after the death occurs)
- Interest will be charged to your family if the service is
paid after it occurs (and may have only up to 30 days to repay the debt)
- Cash advances are required by the funeral home to cover
their miscellaneous costs and has to be paid upfront (within 12 hours
after the death occurs)
Having burial and final expense insurance is the best way to eliminate
the "business" that is required to be handled when that shouldn't be
the focus at that time. It should only be a time of celebrating the
wonderful life that your family experienced with you and the proper
time to say goodbyes.
Insurance companies are quick to take your money but slow to pay it
out. What you need to look for is a company that stands behind
simplicity and speed. It can be as simple as obtaining a no-obligation final
expense insurance quote to find out what your
options are in taking the necessary steps towards being prepared. In
addition, a Forethought
Final Expense policy will guarantee a speedy payout within 48
hours of your death to your beneficiaries.

As the loving wife of the departed Chief Master Sergeant, Ronald James
Williams, I would like to express my sincere thanks and testimonial to
the final expense program offered through the advanced family services
affiliated with Remuda Financial. It was suggested to us to
secure finances for our arrangements years prior to Ron's
death. We did not realize at the time, but this suggestion
was a blessing to all of my family. It enabled us to
consider, plan and discuss our options while in good health and a clear
state of mind.
When the moment comes for a loved one to leave us, whether sudden or
after a long illness, we are never prepared. I was truly
grateful, as well as my children, not to have to make those important
financial decisions in our time of grief.
I offer my sincere thanks to them for their heartfelt services and
going far beyond all of our expectations prior to, during and after
this most difficult time for all of us. As with my husband,
my plans have been made ahead of time. It is comforting to me
to know that my children will not have to make these complicated
financial decisions at the time of my death.
I would highly recommend that all families consider the final expense
program offered through the advanced family services affiliated with
Remuda Financial.
Sincerely,
Doris Williams
